Duncan is a British artist, now based in Helsinki who has just returned to Finland after two years working in Ethiopia.

Duncan produced the work that appears in this show during his time in Ethiopia and what we see are collections of faces and animals, held under the glare of a tropical sun. The viewer meets vultures, smoking donkeys, monkeys and a crowd of people who smile, squint, scowl and stare. One wall of the gallery confronts the viewer with a stunning array of over 100 individual portraits.

Stylistically diverse, this dynamic young artist's work effortlessly moves between spraycan cartoons and inkwash realism to striking and disarming effect.
Duncan has previously exhibited around London and his work has appeared in The Face magasine and used by HarperCollins publishers. In Ethiopia he had a continual exhibition space rotating his work for two years.
